Hugs Carla, may they get your potassium where it needs to be and you get well fast!

Good morning OFF family, once again it's cold in Michigan but I love that crisp smell. I can't wait til Spring and Summer. Nothing new with me, I'm just chugging along in our winter months. Still fighting dizziness but am much better today.

Carla, Carl just needs to get over it!  Your health is more important.  Booger!

I get my last drain out today YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE   and the nurse is going to try to drain the excess fluid off my elbow. That doesn't sound pleasant at all, but I'll deal. I'll be rid of the binder but will have to wear Spanx ( well, the generic ones, anyway) for another 4-6 wks. Down 3 lbs from last week, so the fluid gain is leaving too. So Happy!!!

Gary has an appointment today with the head of the Opthalmology Dept at the medical school. He's been blind in one eye since 1981 and one of the muscles is starting to pull to the outside. So, he could be looking at you with one eye and his left eye is looking off to the left. They're going to inject Botox into one of the muscles to keep that from happening. Amazing what medical science can do!

Margo?????  Did you get your mammo appointment??  Worried about you sister!

Susan

Hi Carla and my OFF family:

Just got off the phone with you, Carla. Low potassium is no fun ... getting it through an IV is definitely no fun ... had that done before my RNY ... hurt like hell. I seem to have perpetually low potassium for some reason, thanks to the malabsorption. Now I have to take two horse pills a day. Luckily, I don't have problems swallowing pills.

I had a hell of a time getting two little business pages done last night. One story kept crashing my programs. Finally, I just put it on the page and read it on the page. Then of course I had problems sleeping ... it's chilly outside and I'm sweating in bed.

Well, it's time for some more caffeine. Finished my protein coffee and now I have to have a real cup. Have a good day.

Hi Carla...so sorry to hear of potassium issues.  Hope you are able to get on your way home soon.  What do they recommend to take to keep this from happening again?

Hello to everyone!  My lord, you guys get up early...or is it you just stay up late???  I crashed in bed at 10:30pm last nite and then tossed and turned trying to fight the critters for room.  My cat doesn't like to share any of the bed with either one of my chihuahua's so I have to be sure they don't try to share the same space...plus I couldn't get my feet warm but my upper body was freezing.  I hate taking Tylenol PM to sleep..but sometimes it seems I just don't have any options and I don't want to take prescriptions.  Maybe I should just take a nap here at my desk at work?  Think anyone would mind?  ROTFL..yeah, my boss would LOVE that :-)

Tonight I'm going to a jewelry party...one of the gals in my WLS support group started selling the jewelry and 2 other gals in the group are holding parties for her..this will be my second.  I'm a jewelry nut...doesn't have to be expensive..just classy looking.  Hubby bought me a very nice watch for my b/day...said he didn't understand why I 'needed' another one...I already had 2 very nice ones....poor man...he just doesn't understand I need Choices! LOL

Well, back to work...co-workers would like to have their paychecks on Monday so guess I should get them into the computer before it's time to take that nap ;-)  Have a great day...and my prayers are still going up for all in need.
Hugs
Nancy aka Sunray
